Hi fellow trekkers,

It seems that summer is finally over as we brace ourselves for a  winter of welsh walking. There is no better time of the year I feel to be out trekking, amongst the colours of the dying leaves, the landscape revealing itself as the flaura dies back.

Dave took up the gauntlet and led a group of trekkers around the Tal-y-bont challenge walk on Saturday the 11th of this month. Adverse weather forced these intrepids to cut the walk short at 17 miles, still a fantastic achievement given the conditions.

Dylan led a short walk from Llanmadog on the 19th of this month, the pictures uploaded onto the Tawe Trekkers facebook page testimont to a healthy turnout. Sunday lunch in the Greyhound followed this short stroll. Good on you Dylan.

Dave was back in the helm again this past Sunday (26th), leading a strenuous walk up Fan Nedd (and rain gauge) .By all accounts this turned out to be a great day on the hills, the uploaded pictures revealing the beauty of the autumn landscape. Thanks Dave.

This coming Sunday (2nd of November) Graham will be leading a moderate eight mile stroll around Marros and Pendine. This walk promises great views across Carmarthen Bay towards Tenby and Caldey. Meet for this one at 9.30 a.m. at the Civic Centre in Swansea or contact Graham directly on 07770 435341 for details of the start point.

That's all for now folks.Enjoy your trekking,

Paul
