Hi fellow Trekkers,

I trust all is well with you all. Thanks go to Dylan for leading Friday's walk up Kilvey Hill. This is Dylan's appraisal of his walk :

"On Friday night a group of 15 of us took a much needed jaunt up Kilvey Hill to take some pretty spectacular views of Swansea Bay in before heading to The Ship Inn for a brief tipple. There were a few newbies on this walk so a cordial welcome is extended to Teifion and Sylvie (+ Luca of course). We hope to see you all again soon."

Dylan also wishes to remind you of the following:

"For those of you who don't have access to Facebook this years Xmas meal has been booked for Tapestri on Friday the 12th December. There are an initial 20 seats left but these have been snapped up pretty quick with very few spots left. Dylan is hoping to book 10 extra seats soon but if you are interested please contact Dylan on 07540746360. A £10 deposit will be needed to secure your spot."

On Sunday (17th) Graham led an exceptional walk from Bishopston (Gower), passing through Three crosses and Upper Killay. As is typical of Graham, his well thought out walk took us through virgin territory, as we wandered through ancient woods, through fields of cows, even skirting the edge of Swansea's airport. A harem of pretty cows, guarded over by a somewhat docile bull (nose ring and all) caused some minor logistical problems which were easily overcome, three or four acrobatic bi-planes pulling stunts in the blue sky above. Lunch was taken by the runway itself, the aforementioned planes roaring over our heads from seemingly nowhere. After lunch and with binoculars at the ready Graham led the assembled through various twists and turns, on paths hardly used, until suddenly we were back at the cars and the prospect of a post-walk drink. Drinks were drunk in a local pub (the name of which eludes me) and all was well. Thanks Graham for  your efforts on this day. Much appreciated by all.

Please note that next weekend's trip to llanberis means that there will not be a walk on Sunday (24th). Ben's bunkhouse is playing host to twelve dedicated trekkers for the three days of the bank holiday. Thanks in abundance to Janet for organising this trip, her fears of the primitive nature of our accommadation a reflection of her general niceness and concern for others.
