Sunday 13th May - Aberdulais Adventure

 

 

Starting at Aberdulais we first climb up the ancient Sarn Helen Roman road before dropping down into the Neath valley following St Iltyd's Walk. Passing through Resolven we continue on St. Illtyd's walk before heading back down the Neath valley through the Pelenna Forest. Dropping down to the valley floor we join the peaceful canal tow-path which takes us back to Aberdulais. This walk offers some stunning views and quiet footpaths which are right on our door step. The woods and fields are in their spring-time glory!

 

Distance: 10 miles

 

Meeting Place: Civic Centre East carpark at 9.30 am

Evening Walk: Parkmill - Thursday 10th May


On Thursday 10th there is an evening walk from Parkmill taking in the coast and a castle!  An easy 3 miles followed by the option of a drink afterwards in the Gower Inn.  What better way to spend a summer evening – if summer ever comes!  Meet 7.30 pm at the Gower Inn, Parkmill.  Call Robert (Bob) on 07981 963 681 for further details or if you require a lift to the start.

Programme Meeting - 17th May @ The Vivs in Sketty


On Thursday 17th we meet to put the next series of walks and events together. Emyr's already organising what looks to be an excellent weekend away in Mid Wales at the end of August, and there will be plenty more we'll be looking to include as well. All welcome, and be sure to come along or contact me if you want to lead a walk or organise a social or other event for the programme.
