Sirhowy Valley - Sunday 1st August

This weekend's walk heads into uncharted TT territory near Newport. Christian will lead us along a former railway trail and riverside path running through the woodland of the Sirhowy Valley. The walk hits the lofty heights of the Mynydd y Grug before returning to the start point along a picturesque track between ancient hedges.

Distance: 8 miles

Difficulty: moderate / strenuous (there is quite a long incline for a few miles)

Meeting point: County Hall at 9.30am or if you wish to meet at the start point please contact Christian on 07791089942.

Caroline's leaving do - Friday 30th

Just a reminder to say it's this Friday when we say our farewells to Caroline who is moving to the dark side (well Carmarthenshire actually but I thought I would add some drama to the proceedings). Anyway we are meeting at The Westbourne in Brynmill from 7.30pm if you to join the soiree.

That's it for this week.

Christian
