Llynfi Valley walk - Saturday 12th
This walk starts in Maesteg and then weaves it way up to Margam Park and will see us take in part of the Coed Morgannwg Way before crossing fields and into the historic village of LLangynwyd. Here we can stop off at what is reputedly the oldest pub in Wales before returning back to Maesteg via Gorth.
Distance: 7 miles
Difficulty: easy / moderate (nb: a farmer has boxed off where a stile should be so be prepared to leap over one fence!).
Meeting Point: 9.30am by County Hall or 10.15am at the start point (Maesteg train station car park). Please phone Christian if you want to meet at the start point (07791089942).
Reminder - programme meeting Thursday 17th from 7.30
This is just a reminder that if you want to lead a walk, or have a suggestion for a walk or a social event please attend the programme meeting. This will be held in the Vivian pub in Sketty starting at 7.30pm. If you are unable to attend this meeting but would like to contribute to the TTs please contact either Trudi (07807726441) or Emyr (07846879210).
Pre-festive drinks - Saturday 12th
In these times where everything apart from my flat is trimmed up to the maximum, why not come out and be jolly for a few drinks and a possible moving of the arms and legs (that's dancing by the way). The plan is to meet at Smooth Mediterranean Coffee Lounge at 7.30pm which is adjacent to the Pumphouse in the marina (they do great tapas if you are peckish!) . Then there's the option of some jazz in the Milkwood Jam (£10 so a bit pricey) or an 80s spandex night in Sin City (cheap as chips at £3). We will see where the mood takes us. If you have any queries please contact Christian (07791089942).
I think that's it for another week!
Christian
