Newsletter - Llangennech 28th April

Hi all,
There is no pub night this week, but we do have a walk led by Andy on Saturday.

Llangennech - 28th Apr

This walk is easy/ moderate, most of the route is on well marked footpaths and quiet country lanes, there is a short climb (but it is not a lung buster and quite gentle!). If all goes according to plan we should enjoy some excellent views over the Loughor estuary and take in the wider landscape of Llangennech including rolling field systems, old oak woodlands and quiet country lanes. The paths can be muddy if the weather has been wet so decent footwear is recommended. Points of interest:

Excellent opportunities to spot wildlife
  • Troserch woodland
  • The remains of Troserch corn mill & the leat that used to channel water to power the mill.
  • Small shafts and tips of early coal mines can still be found dotted around the landscape

Meet Point County Hall East Car Park at 9:30Difficulty Easy/ModerateDistance Approximately 6-8 miles

Dogs Dogs are welcome but please be aware that the walk passes through farmyards and fields with lambs so dogs will have to be kept on the lead during these sections, also there are a number of styles and kissing gates on the route. Contact Give Andy a ring on 07817878793

Thats everything for this week. See you soon.
