Walk in the Dare Country Park, Aberdare - Sunday 10th Dec

Marie is our guide as we break out of the inner depths of the Dare Country Park and head east to Circumvent the Lluest Wen Reservoir and trek the bleak moorland with views of the Beacons (on a clear day) and straddle the Coed Morgannwg way. An excellent walk to help shake off any cob webs!

Distance 9.5 Miles

Meet Point 9:30 in County Hall East car park and 10:30 in the Dare Country Park by the visitor centre. Click here for a map.

Dogs More than welcome, usual rules apply though in areas of livestock, (Dogs, tell your owners that you need to be kept under control)

Refreshements There is an excellent tea shop in the Dare Country Park

Difficulty Much of the path is in good condition, though there is a short strectch of morrland to yomp, and like any upland area, after rain it can get a little wet underfoot.

Contact Marie is our leader and she can be contacted on 07867 833464

Yuletide Walk - Felindre - 28th December

This is our Christmas walk and it goes from the Shepherds Inn in Felindre. The walk will be around the Lliw Reservoir Near Swansea, and it is a joint walk with the Tiger Bay Ramblers. The walk will be a short walk (7 miles) around the reservoir to the forest above the upper Lliw and returning via the Shepherds Path. We then head back to the pub for lunch. If you want to join us for lunch, please let me know (Rob on 07990 807510) before the 22nd December so you can be booked in. Numbers will be limited so please avoid disappointment and let me know if you want to come. The meet time will be at 9.00 at County Hall and 9.30 in Felindre outside the Shepherds.

I've been working on some festive snow for the day, but I'm not making any promises at the moment, but it is on order.
