After the success of the Italian night Andy leads us on another culinary ramble to India! For details of meeting place and times contact Andy Bevan on 07791 545 342.

This Sunday Paul leads us into the heart of the Beacons,Lots of climbing and some  boggy ground if it's not frozen. Beer to follow. Clocks will have just gone back so bring a head torch in case of late finish.

On the 2nd of November a gang of us will be heading back to the Lamb and Fox in the hills above Bleanavon and staying in the bunkhouse for the night,cost £17. It's a great pub and will be putting on a band,anyone interested give me a call.

I've had a lot of bookings for the new years trip this week so can all those who've already booked please send me the payment as I don't want to start turning people away until I've had the money in,and all those still deciding,fingers need pulling out!

And finally,anyone interested in next years trek from France to Switzerland,we'll be meeting in the Prince of Wales in Cynffig a week Thursday,let me know if your coming to the meeting,

Sut mae pawb,

Thanks to Graham for leading us last week,and only an hours rain! Another great pub at the end,I'm going to have to compile a walkers pub guide.

I'll be leading us this week on a trip around Cwm Twrch i n the Swansea valley.Walking up the old railway line taking in the old lime kilns, abandoned drift mine and limestone quarries.

The Tawe Trekkers Newsletter 13th October 2013‏

 Friday 25th/Saturday 26th October - 'Not another Cabaret'


The autumn offering from the Ostreme Players is a Cabaret including songs, comedy and dancing with the main emphasis on humour.

All of the comedy is original and includes an appearance by Graham as Birmingham's own Johnny Rawbit performing a Ronnie Corbett-style monologue.

There is a hilarious dance routine the like of which you are very unlikely to have seen! It's just £7 to attend this highly original show; please contact Graham on 07770 435341 to book your tickets as soon as possible.

News Letter

Thanks to Andy for organising last weeks meal,15 of us had a great night,so look out for the Indian night. and thanks for Paul for leading an excellent walk around Abercarn.

This week we head east again to the historic Blaenavon Iron Mountain Trail part 2. A visit to an ironworks and the highest pub in Wales. Joint walk with Tiger bay Ramblers.
