Sunday 2nd December - Porth Yr Ogof Circular

This week's walk takes us up into the woods, caves and valleys in the area around Porth Yr Ogof near Ystrafellte. The walk was quite muddy last weekend so bring gaiters  waterproof boots and waterproof trousers! As a reward we will stop at the New Inn pub in Ystrafellte once we have finished the walk.

Distance: 9.5 miles

Difficult: moderate/ strenuous

Start point: County Hall at 9.00am or at Porth Yr Ogof car park near Ystrafellte (grid reference SN928124) by 10.30am. Please let me know if you are planning to meet us at the start point. 

Short and sweet this week, let's hope the rain leaves off on Sunday.

Brecon Beacons Curcuit - Sunday 25th November

This week's walk Dave leads us along the four main peaks of the Brecon Beacons. This is arguably the finest mountain walk in South Wales and one of the best in the country. Starting at the neuadd resevoirs car park a steep but gradual climb taking in the summits of Cribyn, Pen y Fan and Corn Du.

Difficulty - Strenuous
Distance - 12 miles
Meeting point At County Hall at 9.00 a.m or at the starting point at Upper Neuadd resevoir at 9.45

Gower Hike Night - Friday 16th November 2012

Chrissy will be leading a walk following the coastal path to Caswell Bay and then up through Langland Golf Club to Newton and back to Mumbles with a few refreshment stops along the way! It will be dark so be sure to bring a head torch/torch.

Distance:- 5 Miles
Difficulty:- Moderate

Hwyl in Hensol, Welsh St. Donats and Ely Valley - Sunday 18th November 2012
 
On this weekend's walk Graham takes us to a quiet and little-known area Northeast of Cowbridge. We explore peaceful pastureland and woodland with an unusually large number of lakes and ponds along the way. There is only one significant climb involved which takes us to a sweeping view down towards Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. The going will be boggy in places so please make sure you waterproof your boots - or suffer wet feet!
 
Distance:- 9 miles
Difficulty:- Easy/Moderate.
Start Point/ Time:  9.00 at the Civic Centre. If you wish to meet at the start point contact Graham on 07770 435341

'The Graduate'
 
Bishopston Amateur Theatrical Society are putting on a production of the 'The Graduate' made famous by the 1967 film starring Dustin Hoffman. Our very own Steve 'Garage' Richardson is playing Mr Robinson. The play will be performed on friday 23rd, Saturday 24th, thursday 29th and friday 30th November. Tickets are £6 though there may be a few tickets left for the opening night under their 2 for 1 offer arrangement. Graham is planning to go. Rememberance Day Walk - Sunday 11th November

Remembrance Day Walk

This weekend's walk sees Dave leads us to the wreckage of a World War II Wellington bomber where a Remembrance Day service will be held.

Please note an earlier start time of 8.30 a.m. at County Hall Swansea and 9.00 a.m. at the starting point which is the car parking opposite Dan-yr-Ogof caves.

Difficulty - Moderate
Distance - 8 miles
Meeting point - At County Hall at 8.30 a.m. (please note earlier start time) or at the starting point at the car park opposite Dan-yr-Ogof caves @ 8.30 a.m.
