Sunday 29th July - Amroth

This Sunday’s walk takes in country and coast near Amroth (not far from Tenby).  It’s just less than 9 miles but there are lots of ups and downs on the stretch along the coast which will make it feel rather longer!  It takes in part of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.  Meet at the Civic Centre at 09:30 as usual.  If you want to go to the start directly then try to park in a small area by a sign that says Traeth Telpyn on the coast road east of Amroth at SN 181 076.  I’m a bit concerned this may be full by the time we get there (about 10:30 ish) in which case we may have to park in Amroth and walk to the start point.  Hopefully the weather will stay fine in which case it will be an excellent day – but don’t forget the sun cream!  Let me know if you are going directly to the start, or require further details – Robert  07981 963 681.

Thursday 26th July

Its our regular pub night. Meet 8pm onwards at the Brunswick Pub in Sandfields.

That's it for this week. Hope everyone's making the most of the sunshine?!

Porthcawl & Merthyr Mawr - Sun 15th July

Andy M leads a walk around his stamping ground of Porthcawl; exploring some interesting and peaceful sites in the vale of Glamorgan - through sandunes up past Merthyr Mawr - then through Bridgend to Ton Du, and then across to Pyle on the old tramway. Note earlier start time due to distance. By Trekkers standards this is a very long walk - and while the terrain is fairly easy, people should be aware that it's a long old slog.

Distance - 20.5 miles

Difficulty - Easy terrain but LONG distance

Meeting: 0900h at County Hall in Swansea, or call Andy M for details if you're planning on meeting at the start point.

Contact - Andy M on 07548114659
