Forest of Dean Weekend - 16/17/18th April

Hi all,

In addition to the regular newsletters, the Tawe Trekkers bring you this extra item to advertise our next weekend away in the Forest of Dean!

We'll be going up on the afternoon of Friday 16th April, and staying for two nights at The Jovial Colliers Inn and Bunkhouse: http://www.jovialcolliersinn.co.uk/. This is a traditional style pub with log fires, pub food, and real ales in the Gloucester village of Lydbrook.
It has a newly-refurbished bunkhouse attached, which - strangely enough - used to be a skittle alley; so prepared to be 'bowled-over' by the accommodation (oh God). One point to bear in mind; you will need to bring your own sleeping bags.

The price of £16 p.p.p.n includes board and a cooked breakfast. So you don't have to be Stephen Hawking to work out that the cost for the two nights will be £32. The pub does a range of food in the evenings, and the current plan/suggestion is to eat in the pub on Friday and Saturday nights.

This is only an overview for the purposes of getting some names down, but more information will follow on the walks and other details of the proposed itinerary.

Meanwhile I will need to collect names of people who are coming on this. This trip is open to both Tawe Trekkers and the Black Country Walking Group. I am only able to put your name on the list when I receive the money, so please post the grand total of £32 to me, Doug, at:

Doug Morgan
32 Eaton Crescent (Front Door)
Uplands
Swansea
SA1 4QL

If you want to discuss more details before deciding then call me on 07766652837.

There are 20 places and it will be first-come-first-serve. Hope that you can make it!!

Many thanks,

Doug
