Newsletter - Llanddeusant Black Mountain Walk Sunday 1st July - Dorset Weekend

Hello there,

Well 'shiver me timbers', it is almost July, and April seems to be a dim and distant memory, the last time we appeared to have any decent weather. Anyway we have a few things this week to help us ease our way into what will be a scorcher of July with a stroll into the Black Mountain.

Llanddeusant to the Black Mountain via Llyn- Y-Fan Fach

This walk takes us too the legendary lake of Llyn-Y-Fan Fach following the Beacons way, we then circle to to of the Escarpment and head down to Twyn Yr Esgair and then plot our way westwards to arrive back at our startpoint. Obviously, this is a mountain walk, but remember that we have not enjoyed such good weather this summer (so far), and there is no reason why Sunday should be different, so be prepared! By equal measure, there is also every reason it could be gloriously sunny weather, so bring a hat and sun cream!

Distance 9-10 Miles

Gradients There are some steep gradients to climb, particularly at the early parts of the walk.

Dogs Dogs are welcome on this walk, but usual stuff about sheep and control,'nuf said.

Meet point County hall east Car Park at 9:30 our at Llanddeusant at 10:30.

Any more info required, give me a call on 07990 807510.

Website

Hi all,

Due to those useless muppets, Virgin Media, it should be noted that the Tawe Trekkers website will not be available for a short period.

It is hoped that normal service will be resumed next week.

All the best,

Doug

Worms Head Evening Walk

Hi all,

This week's newsletter features a great evening walk on Worms Head led by Jo, and the date for the Dorset Weekend! Read on and all will be revealed...

_____________________________

Worms Head - Saturday 23rd June - EVENING WALK

The tide times for my Rhossili walk on 23rd are 5pm-10pm so we'll be doing something we've never done before - an evening walk with added sunset factor! Bring picnic a picnic, and assemble at County Hall car park at 4.30pm or Rhossili car park 5.15pm.

Dogs should be fine as long as they're well behaved and not prone to chasing nesting birds or seals, yes that's right, seals!

Give me (Jo) a call on 07811654826 for more details.

See you there!

Jo
